During this course you will build

  • A process to align current lessons to specific content and digital learning standards
  • A proficiency scale and a rubric that incorporates several proficiency elements
  • An evaluation of your lesson using Danielson or NBPTS frameworks

The course was unorganized and the assessments go against every best practice that was discussed in this course and every other education course I've taken. There were even typos in the assessment. I took 25 pages of notes and I was still hunting and picking for the most minute information. I would think a course in education would make use of best practices.

A great refresher of concepts, theories, and applications to the classroom. I highly recommend it.

Informative, but struggled to differentiate between several of the terms such as objectives, competencies, and standards. I left more confused than when I began. Also, as a social studies teacher, I have little background in the NextGen standards and really have little interest in them.

Very informative about the differences between all the new standards. Very helpful to learn about and be able to apply to my teaching this year!

This was an amazing online class. It taught me a lot that I didn't know about rubrics, proficiency scales, and the different domains of Danielson. I would highly recommend it!

When taking my milestone, 4/6 of the questions I got wrong were 100% inconsistent with questions on the practice milestone and information in the videos. I needed a 14/25 on the test to pass the course and received a 19/25. I passed, but was thankful I hadn't gotten even more questions wrong because the errors in (at least) 4 of these questions caused a serious dent in my test score. Was disappointed with this milestone & course.

Wow - there was a lot of information in this course! I took the practice milestone test several times because I doubted myself too much to be successful on the real one! It was a tough course, but full of useful information.
